Damage to property at school

(jd) A witness heard suspicious noises in a school playground on Wiesestraße on Sunday (April 27) at 12.30 p.m. and went to investigate the cause. When he arrived at the schoolyard, he saw that several panes of glass on the adjacent sports hall had been damaged. Two youths who were at the scene of the crime immediately fled in the direction of Weddingufer when the witness arrived. A search of the area by the police officers called to the scene was unsuccessful. Whether and to what extent the persons observed by the witness are connected to the damage to property is still under investigation. The two male youths or other witnesses who can provide information are therefore asked to contact the Herford police on 05221/8880. Both are around 13 to 15 years old. One person is about 160cm tall and was wearing black clothing. The other youth is about 180cm tall and was wearing gray jeans and a blue sweater. The damage to the sports hall amounts to around 5,000 euros.
