(jd) On Tuesday (26.11.), a 31-year-old man from Bad Oeynhausen was riding his bicycle on the cycle path on Lübbecker Straße in the direction of Albert-Schweitzer-Straße. Shortly before the junction with Alt-Schockemühle road, another cyclist came towards the man at around 4.55 am. This cyclist was riding at high speed towards the man from Bad Oeynhausen without sufficient lighting on his mountain bike. The 31-year-old braked hard to avoid a collision. He lost control of his bike and crashed. He sustained minor injuries as a result of the fall. The unknown cyclist involved in the accident continued his journey without fulfilling his duties. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office is therefore asking the man, who is around 170-180 cm tall and 25 to 30 years old, to contact them on 05221/8880.
